AS A MAN OF THINKETH (BOOK REVIEW)
“As
a man of thinketh in his heart, so shall he be” these words written by a author
is more than enough to explain the whole motto of the book. It’s is one of
self-help book written by James Allen a profound writer of his time. This book
is written in 19th century which vividly explain the process of
thoughts and how they govern our day to day activities.
The
books is beautifully written that can be read by people of any time or era. The
author step by step teaches how to transform our life’s circumstance into
opportunities to build a better future.
In
his first lesson he taught us that what we harbour in our mind so shall we
become, if we harbour evil thoughts, pain comes to us and if we endure pure
thought, joy follow us.
We
the man have power, intelligence, love and can able to govern our own thoughts
which hold the key to all situation. Only by patience, practice, and ceaseless
importunity man can open the door of knowledge.
There
may be good and bad experiences in the journey of growth but the man should not
lose the serenity and control on his thought that is what author flash
light on in his second lesson.
In
third lesson, he explains that by unlawful thoughts the soul of the man become
impure and body look dull whereas with beautiful
thought fill you with more youthfulness and beauty.
In
his next lesson he taught the most important
lesson of life. A man could not accomplish anything if they springs
thought of fear and doubt. They always lead to failure because all the power,
energy, and strong thoughts cease when fear and doubt bloom. If we bravely face
our fears and wisely overcome our doubts then we can accomplish our target more
intelligently.
The
bigger the achievement, the bigger the sacrifice will be.
The
author gracefully ended the book by giving us the last lesson of serenity. He
wrote that calmness of mind is one of
the beautiful jewels of wisdom. It is the result of long patient effort in
self-control and I really agree with his words. The Man can only become the
master of thoughts by self-control, right thought, and calmness.
“Peace,
be still” and he left us with his thoughts to proceed and implement them
wisely.
